Star Fox Merchandise

Post  Rik McCloud on Sat Feb 23, 2008 10:55 am

This is a StarFox wrist watch game that was originally offered as a prize to people who sent enough tokens from Kellogg’s Corn Flakes boxes. The game itself is controlled by the four red directional buttons and lasers and bombs were released when pressing the corresponding orange buttons on the right hand side. When the game was not in use, the time would be displayed on the top of the screen where the score would usually be and an Arwing would fly around the screen. Unlike other watches similar to this, it featured a headphone jack and a pair of headphones so the user could listen to the music and sound effects without disturbing others.

This is a StarFox 64 slide viewer. You hold it up to the light, look through the eyepiece on the back and the light shines through the screen on the front. There are twelve slides in all featuring a variety of SF64 renders and even the game title text in Japanese. You cycle through them by pressing the grey button sticking out of the bottom of the GameBoy casing. They were originally made to be prizes that would be contained in capsules you paid a small amount of money for.

This limited edition Johnny Lightning StarFox 64 funny car drag racer was made during 1996. The body shell lifts up like a real funny car drag racers would to reveal the die-cast engine and also let the driver in and out.

This promotional Star Fox Adventures DVD was given out by GAME stores in the UK for the release of the game. It featured parts of game play and FMV footage of both Krystal’s and Fox’s sections in the game. GAME watermarked the footage with a picture of their logo placed in the top right hand corner of the screen.

This is a Star Fox Adventures hat that was made by Headmaster, Inc. to promote the game and was probably given out during the launch of the game at press shows. It features the game’s title on the front, Rarewear’s old logo on the left hand side and a Nintendo logo above the adjustable Velcro strap on the back.

This Star Fox Adventures bobble head was given out for free with the first 30,000 copies of Star Fox Adventures sold in Target stores across the US. Each figure came with its own certificate to show it was genuine.

This Fox McCloud pin badge is available from the Nintendo Store in New York. It features Fox in his Assault outfit.

This Star Fox Command game case was only released in Japan. It is sized so it’s just big enough to store a DS game cartridge and can be connected to a set of keys or the DS itself.
